How it started
Softspoken House Standard began out of frustration.

We kept buying products labeled gentle, natural, or clean, only to find long ingredient lists we couldn’t understand and results that didn’t match the promises. Skin that felt dry. Irritated.
Overwhelmed.

And the cost never seemed to make sense.
​
It started to feel like we were paying more for marketing than for what was actually inside the bottle.
​
So Brittney started making her own soap at home.
​
Simple recipes. Familiar oils. Nothing extra.
​
Just ingredients that made sense.

What began as a small DIY experiment quickly turned into something we both relied on every day. Cynthia got roped in soon after, testing batches, tweaking formulas, and helping refine what felt good and what didn’t.

The goal wasn’t to build a brand.
